Super R-Type

Level Select

On the title screen, press R, then Up 9 times.
You will hear a tone.
Start the game and at anytime playing pause it and press R, A, and SELECT at the same time.
A number should appear in the lower left corner.
Press up and down to set the level. 01-07: levels 1-7 in easy 11-17: levels 1-7 in hard

Instant Power-Up

On the title screen hit Down, R, Right, Down, Right, Right, Down, Right, Down, Down.
A tone will sound.
Then at anytime in the game pause and hit R, Right, Down, Y, Down, Right, Down, Left, Right, Down, Right, Right.
Then select your power up by hitting two buttons, one after the other:

1st button	2nd button
A - Sky Attack Laser	A - Homing Missile
B - Ground Attack Laser	X - Spread Bomb
X - Reflect Laser
Y - Spread Laser
R - Shot Gun Bomb

Then unpause the game.
At any time, you can pause and change the weapons.
