Start on Level 6
On the title screen, hit A, X, A, Y, A, X, SELECT, SELECT, START.
Level Select
On the title screen, hit X, SELECT, A, SELECT, Y, A, X, and SELECT.
Unlimited continues
Press start several times quickly at the continue screen, and the number of continues should jump to 9.
Now they're unlimited.
